So fossil ages are only based on assumptions?

Are we led to beleive dinasaurs are million of years old because they are assumed to have lived millions of years ago so we use the uranium/lead half life to date them to 65 million years. But if we want to beleive they lived 6000 years ago we use carbon/nitrogen half life to prove that. So are the age of fossils really based on assumptions not facts?

Fossil ages are based on the same science that sends satellites into orbit and that underlies our computers. The science they use isn't any different than the science of heart transplants and supersonic airplanes.

You can't refute science. If science were false, all the above wouldn't work.

They are based on many different kinds of isotopic and other data.  Potassium Argon is often used to corroborate the ages.  The ages may have some small errors but they are very close to the dates they describe.  Many times it is hard to date precisely. There are times, like in volcanic eruptions where ash buries the living animal, where the date is very precise.  It would have to be called a mixture of facts and approximations.

its possible. it all depends on what method you use to determine the age of somthing. the FACT is that humans did not live millions of years ago or keep recorded history 6000 years ago so we really dont know for sure but we are about 99.999999999999999999999999999999999% sure the dionosaurs are not quite young.
