So hard to find a job. Where do they hire 16 year olds?

Well I applied for so many jobs! I even applied at mcdonalds. I go in there and theres tons of ppl who work in there that are new, but one things, I swear they only hire stoners,well actually a lot of fast foods do. (i know some of them) Im not saying that, thats why I cant get a job, but its hard. I kinda want to stay away from the fast foods.

Can you name some jobs that hire at 16?

Try Chick-Fil-A they are closed on Sundays. My brother is a cashier there. He loves it!

The best thing I did as far as getting a job is I took a hostess job at 16. I started at Denny's to get experience and it was really great. It opened the door for lots of places, and I got experience serving and hostessing so I found a great job at Olive garden as a server. I recommend getting a hostess job at any busy place because it will give you a chance to get into the serving business, which makes great money. Do you have an Olive Garden, or Applebees? Those are great places to work.

If they have Publix in Texas, you can get hired there.  A bunch of my friends (ages 15 and up) work there.

any department store that is in an actual mall will hire you.  Some of the finer retail outlets (like those on Rodeo Dr. in BH) prefer mid-20s employees.  Shoe stores especially hire young people.  Drive-in fast food places (bumpers, sonic, etc) hire many young girls.  Movie theatres hire gals your age for ticket sales and snack counter.  Dr. and dentist offices sometimes hire young receptionists because they work more cheaply than 20-something+.  Attorney's too.

well my sister is also sixteen and she as also applied for a lot but i think she is going to work at a bakery. but like gorcery stores and places that need like carts brought in and stuff like that.

mostly you'll b hired at food places your still young and such so dont expect to much from your 1st job

try ur mall and grab a bunch of applications, and then fill em out and take em back.

most fast food restaraunts will hire you if you are 15 or older.

at least that's the age here in arkansas. also you can try several retail stores. look in the classifieds in your local paper to see who is hiring.

Not in the area, but i have found that the best place for young teens to work at would be an amusement park of somesort.  

You really can't be picky if you are desperate to work.

Try walmart, or movie gallery. Or maybe some teenage store like aeropostale?
