  1. Are you asking how to get him enrolled into high school or how to have him visit the school and shaddow you?

Enrolling him is something he or his parents will need to do.  There shouldn't be many problems with enrolling into high school after you have home schooled, but it depends on the state.  He might be required to take certain classes to graduate.  Home schooling is so common now that most schools are used to this.  His parents won't get in trouble, and he doesn't need a lawyer.

Also, if he just wants to just visit with you, talk to the guidence office.

  2. First... what do you mean that he just started getting homeschooled when he turned 15?  Do you mean to say that his parents never taught him ANYTHING before then?  Are you saying that at 15 he still had 2nd grade level reading and math skills?  I doubt that.  It is more likely that you mean that when he turned 15 he might have started using some kind of "official" program or correspondence course.  So unless he never even picked up a booked and read it between 2nd grade and age 15 he did NOT drop out... he just became homeschooled.  Its possible his parents followed an unschooling approach, which might look like "not doing school" to someone who is not familiar with it.

At any rate, if he wants to go to High School his parents will have to take care of that, you can't do it for him.  At his age though, he'd probably be better off continuing with homeschool and studying hard for the college entrance exams or doing dual enrollment at a community college.

Also, he may not have the same kinds of records as most kids, but he and his parents can put together a transcript of his studies on their own.

You also asked if his parents can get in trouble for not having him in school.  That depends on whether they met the legal requirements for homeschooling in the state they live in.  Some states don't have any requirements, some require that you file a paper each year, some require yearly testing, some require almost constant contact with the local schools.  You can find out more about the laws specific to the state in question by going to:

  3. f*k him. hes a disrespectful, ungreatful little b*****d that doesnt deserve your help. its your kall, but i dnt think you should help him. i love you nomatter what

  4. He may have to take a test to see were he would be at and what grade level he's at.

  5. Uh, this is really an issue for his parents, not for you. Not sure why you are thinking it's your responsibility, but it isn't. I also don't understand why you think he wasn't homeschooling from the time he was 7/8 until he turned 15. Did he learn nothing during that time? Different places require different things for homeschooling and many places don't require any sort of registration.

You need to relax and let him and his parents take care of it.

  6. It's not your problem. Seriously.

A lot of people misunderstand homeschooling and think that what they "see" is how their lives are all the time.

You would not be the first to completely misunderstand a homeschooling family. And, as someone else mentioned, your other questions make it quite clear you are young. which could mean you really know nothing ont he subject at all.

You concern yourself with your life and let your aunt and uncle run their family.

And as to your last statement "tried and tried and tried and nothing works"

no clue what that means at all.

Tried what? talking to your relatives about this?

    Talking to your parents?

Trying to understand homeschooling and learning more about it so you would understand the educational choices members of your family are making?

  7. It depends on local law.

Some states place you based on AGE

Some states make you take a test and place you based on scores.

  8. Having looked at other questions you have asked, I find this whole scenario somewhat difficult to believe.  However, on the chance that this is the truth.....tell your parents and let the adults work this out.  As a minor, he cannot do anything on his own without their help anyway unless he is an emancipated minor.

  9. If he hasn't gone to school since he was in 2nd grade your cousin would have to be tested to find out if he belongs in high school.  How well has his parents home schooled him????  I think that if the parents tried to seriously home school your cousin I don't think that you aunt and uncle should get in too much trouble.   But if they slacked off and ignored the needs of your cousin they might get into some trouble.   But I don't see why your cousin can't be tested and still get a good education.

  10. The quick answer is that you cannot get him into high school.  His parents need to take care of that.  He needs to talk to his parents about it.
