  1. I guess I will have to start buying gas again, went through 40 pairs of sneakers and it's getting more expensive than the $3.89 a gallon of gas here in NJ.

  2. I drive as little as possible. Road trips are out of the question.  I try to give as little money as possible to the oil companies, but there's no way around it, they still get some of it.

  3. I don't drive anymore than I have to as I'm retired and really don't have to go anywhere if I don't want to, I try to make a list of things I have to get and try to get them all in 1 trip instead of a couple.

  4. It takes well over $100 to fuel up my tank.

I hate it, but I just deal with it. I need my truck for work.

  5. Thankfully we are retired.  Combining errands so not to make unnecessary runs. Unfortunately I have to drive even to the mail box.

  6. I'm in VA and it's around $3.50 still here. My husband occasionaly drives an hour to work and it can be really expensive.

  7. I'm glad I kept my honda civic, and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

bought it in 2000, used to fill it up for around $10-11 bucks.

in 2008 over $35 bucks to fill up the same tank.

  8. Well .. I Cry each time I fill my tank :) .. its the only way , other than Killing the Big Oil people !

  9. i am from michigan we got the highest unemployment rate around(not something to b proud of but it makes a point) i worked construction for 6years schools pole buildings from the ground up the only thing sub contracted out was the electrical but it was slowing down and i was really looking at getting rid of my toys-79 f150 w 460/4speed it got like 4mpg and was huge

like my jobs at gm, then steelcase, i was looking at another layoff with this construction company

so i changed careers to a truck driver and my fuel is paid for i get home about 4 times a year last year i only put 270 miles on my driver and less then 200 on my toys

so the gas prices are no longer a issue to me

i sold the truck minus the engine and trans last fall i will build my next toy from the ground up around febuary or so when the trucking industry gets slow

  10. We all but parked my 2005 F150 and share my Honda fit. I start the truck and drive it a few miles then park it for a week or two.
