I am trying to build up my credit and I have applied for cards and I get denied because I dont have any credit. So how do I get some?

Answer 1

Get a secured credit card.

This is a Visa or MasterCard issued by a bank in which you first make and maintain a deposit and the bank then issues a credit card with a limit less than your deposit.

These are no questions asked credit cards since the bank is fully protected and it doesn't matter how bad your credit is.

After a year or two of paying on time you will find that you will be able to obtain an unsecured credit card with a higher credit limit and a lower interest rate.
