So how was your freshman year?

im pretty curious. since im gonna be a freshman in a week

all my friends are going to another high school and i hope i make a lot of friends. any tips?

i made a lot of friends, but it just wasn't a good year for me. i had a hard time dealing with the amount of students in the high school. i went from a school with around 200-300 kids to a school with 1,200. it was a big change for me, and i didn't have any classes with people i knew from middle school. towards the end of the year, it was fun, though. i also knew a lot of people that said their freshman year was their greatest year ever, so i guess it's how you make it out to be.

My freshman year was cool! Although at my high school! it was 7th - 9th grade, the 7th graders were picked on which was pretty lame! we are all at the bottom of the pile at every stage of our education! journey! I joined student council, I played tennis, and I ran track, and was a volleyball player! I also was a part of the yearbook staff! that was so much fun! Your on the inside track to everything! I made friends with everyone! because I didnt have my head stuck up my butt and I never let others tell me who i should be friends with and people respected that!  Learn to stand your ground!  Pick and choose your battles as wells as your parties! Stay away from pot heads and crack heads! Think with your head and not with whats in your pants! save it for later, your time will come! Other than that! do the work because it want get done anyother way! and Kick! but!

Well i was a freshman last year and it was fun. Lots of people from my middle school went to the same high school, but i still made lots of friends. Usually i was friends from whoever was in my class and people i didn't have class with. Just be yourself and have fun.

if you going to a big school you are going to bet alot of friens and if your going to a small school its going to be a little drama but i experience that at my school cause its middle and high school at same campus

It was  a lot of fun. There was more freedom and more of a chance to be responsible. It was also an adjustment with the work load and such.

Boring. I basically had no life. Haha. My friends were witchy, no boys liked me, I was a total tomboy. Then, the summer after was boring, but in 10th grade, I made new friends, and this summer has been the best time of my life.

Well freshman year was pretty cool for me. i got my permit. It did go by alot faster. And you def had more freedom in 8th grade you could not pick your classes in 9th grade you could. I thought my 9th grade year was the best so far.

Freshman year went by very fast, the sudden transition from middle school to high school is way different. Your now the under dog, your not on top of that pedestol anymore..

My advice, say focus on school-- although colleges don't look at freshman year, staying on task will help in the long run when it comes to scholarships, join clubs and interact with an older crowd-- so they dont assume or label you as a typical immature freshman, also keep your act together; gossip spreads like HIV in highschool. Also..PLEASE DONT FALL FOR TEMPTATIONS. Set your boundaries and morals and don't let peer pressure bother you.

And this year, your hormones will be all over the place, so don't fall for just any guy. In highschool, guys should totally be last on the list of priorities.

You should also join student council or some sort, its a great way to get recongition, even by running people will respect your desire to make the school a better place...most of them just wont say anything.

And remember, most of them feel the way you do, a bit shy, scared, and timid- so just smile and wave hi.

my freshman year was boring! freshman year your just getting used to the school and the idea of being in high school. also nobody likes the freshman (no offence!! :)) they treat them like ****, mainly cause most of them are sluttier than the seniors. also freshman year and junior year are the hardest (as far as school work goes) and then sophmore and senior are easy. freshman year does go by pretty fast though. well actually most people say high school all together goes by really quickly.  i'm going to be a sophmore this year, and i think it'll be good, same with junior and senior year.

Well I went to high school in 7th grade so it's pretty much the same cause I was in the youngest grade. I made friends with ALOT of the older grades because I joined this program called black history and made alot of friends in the older grades. I already had some friends in the older grades from elementary and alot of them knew me because of my brother.

BUUUUT....if you don't have what I had then you shouldn't try to be the 'popular b*tch' or whatever because you WILL lose all your friends. Freshman year can be soo much fun as long as you make the best of it and don't buy into the 'he said she said' stuff!! Good luck xo

Its fun being in high school. It goes fast especially freshman year. I go to a small school so I knew everyone in HS. Though I am sure you will make plenty of friends just be yourself and when you get there talk to people. Ask them what there taking and maybe they may wanna hang out which they would talk to you aswell.
