So i got a new speaker cabinet from a friend.....?

Question

it's got four 4ohm speakers, takes a 4ohm imput.

I have an 8ohm amp, is there any way to make the impedemce match?

oh and i also hear that if you have a solid state amp it doesn't really matter if the impedence matches, will my amp burn up if i use the cabinet anyway?

What is the amps make and model no. ?

It should always be that the speaker have the same or higher impedence as the receiver. So in your case that doens't sound good for the amp. Though if the impedence for the speakers and amp were reversed it would work.
