We've been trying for some time now to get pregnant. i have a long cycle and have been using opk to find out when i'm ovulating. both this cycle and last it was cd 25 or 26... yesterday was day 25 and the lines were really close to matching but not quite, and today there is barely anything in the test side at all.. is it possible to have ovulated and gone down that quickly or do is it possible something happened.. also i ran a 5K this morning, not that it should effect anything but i'm not sure really if it does or not i guess???

  1. That is how it is suppose to work....when you see +OPK, you can stop testing from the next day...for some women it shows + for 2 days and for many it shows + on just one day. It depends on level of LH surge each women has....

If there are 2 lines yesterday, then YES you will be ovulating in <3days...so BD all the 3 days...baby dust to you

  2. I know what you mean about the "really close to matching but not quite". Basically it means you were really close to your peak and probably just didn't catch it. I bet if you had tested a few hours later you would have gotten a positive test. Which means you are likely going to ovulate today! So get to work! And Good luck to you!!!!!

P.S. My doctor told me to test twice a day. The best time to test is between 10am and 8 pm. I usually test at 12pm and 6pm.

  3. Just because you got a positive OPK does not mean you are going to ovulate. it means your body is preparing to or trying too.

The only way to confirm you ovualted is to to take your basal body temp every morning.
