  1. With the right dosage, you will not feel like a zombie-that would mean you have too high a dose.  Many do, however, affect libido and you should be prepared for that.

  2. No, not really. However if you are taking a really big dosage it can kind of mess you up. I mean like weight loss, increased anxiety, dramatic loss/gain of appetite. But that's only if you take too high of a dose, so don't raise if you are feeling better. Oh, and libido? Most antidepressants raise libido, since loss of s*x drive is a symptom of depression.

  3. im on antidepressants and i DONT feel like a zombie. i love my life so much better. no joke. i don't care so much about what people think now and i can just live my life the way i want to

  4. I take Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) in the evening - for depression and anxiety.  I've taken that for over a year and a half, and it's worked very well for me.

Those are relatively low dosages of both meds - so I don't feel "zoned out" and it doesn't have too much effect on the libido (it doesn't have as much effect as smoking - I can tell you that first hand).

The Wellbutrin and Lexapro work on different areas of the brain - and kind of compliment each other.  And, I think taking the Wellbutrin in the morning helps me to be more active and wanting to do things, while taking the Lexapro in the evenings helps mellow me out - and I think helps with my sleep, too.

Best of Luck to you :-)

    Paul.
