So i have to go to court to testify but so far the guy i am against seems not guilty

ok so i was drivin all the highway and this car comes tailgating the other lane was empty and he didnt wat to to the other lane because he was an a***e he kept tauting me from behind so then the guy goes on the rite lane and looks at me anf faces a gun to me and my sister we call the cops got his plate number and everythin he is charged with terrostic threat charges da calls me yesterday sayin if i still want to press charges because they didnt find a gun in the car he has no record of buyin a gun and has a clean record but stupid cops instead of serching his car when they found him they go search his car a day later so he has enough time to take the gun and hide it so can someone give me advice how to proof the guy ha d a gun because i was faced with a gun and i find it not fair that someone can get a way with that so can someone help me adn give me real advice please

Well please explain one other thing, or keep it in mind for next time at least. You say he was an ****** for tailgating and he wouldn't get in the other lane right? Well if he was tailgating then WHY DIDN'T YOU SWITCH LANES? I know that is letting him have his way, but based on how he acted afterward I'd say you'd have been better off getting in the other lane instead of being just as bad.

As to the rest of the details all you can really do in court is explain what happened. If you have a good lawyer the not finding a gun won't hurt as much as you think, the lawyer will want to question the police about why they didn't search the vehicle IMMEDIATELY and why they waited. If nothing else that plants doubt about whether or not he really didn't have a gun. It also gets it on the record, as well as them explaining why. Second one is the lawyer will be sure to mention about how not all guns are registered, and him not buying a gun doesn't mean he didn't have one. I mean that is easy to say someone else bought it OR the simple idea that they either don't or didn't use to keep records of gun buyers for very long.
