  1. yes

  2. It really depends on the insurance and the policy. The best thing to do is to call your insurance company and ask them. They will not report it without your permission so you don't have to hide anything from them. If they are a good company, they will tell you everything you need to know.

More often then not, any sort of deductible will make you insurance go up.

  3. A dear?  You hit somebody's Grandma?  That wasn't very nice!

Or perhaps you meant a deer?  That is wildlife collision, and what it does to your insurance rate depends on where you are and what your driving record is.  I do know if I have a wildlife collision, driving properly on a proper road, my rate is not affected, and I pay no deductible, either.  However, if I hit somebody's dear Grandma, that could be a different story.

  4. it will go up...

  5. Since it is considered a Comprehensive loss, probably not.  Not any different than filing a claim for a cracked windshield.

  6. Not necessarily.  I have been in an accident and mine did not go up.  Someone had hit me.  It depends.  Talk to your insurance agent.  He/she will be the best to know more about your specific insurance.

My mother had a deer run into her car and hers did not go up.

  7. It could, but that doesn't mean it necessarily will go up.  It's considered an act of God, you didn't intentionally go seeking deer to hit.  (Note the spelling, deer, not dear.)

deer (n.) Any of various hoofed ruminant mammals of the family Cervidae, characteristically having deciduous antlers borne chiefly by the males. The deer family also includes the elk, moose, caribou, and reindeer.

dear (adj.) Loved and cherished: my dearest friend.

  8. If it goes up, Try using http://My-InsuranceSearch.com to compare car insurance rates for all the major providers in your area.

  9. It will probably go up. No, not even double! They will look at your accident history and if it was your first one, it will go up "slightly"  I would say. I had a minor accident and noticed the rate increased maybe 10%. Call them! The adjustor might not know, but ask for an agent!
