So i just did a recovery on my computer (restore to factory default setting)?

it erased everything, would it erase viruses and spam-bots too?

  1. Yes it should have done. If you want to make absolutely sure and you have all the information you need from the computer (pictures,music,personal files), you can always re-install windows and that will definitely correct your problem. :) its a good way to get you computer "upto speed" again too! :)


  2. Not always.  Sometimes certain viruses affect backup files or hidden partitions used for default restoring  purposes.  There's a good chance that any basic recovery is sufficient, but some users have had to completely reformat their HDD because of viruses.

  3. When you restore your computer as factory condition, it'll reformat your computer. Factory Condition is how it was after done in the computer factory. And yes, It would. It'll be like new.. except for all the things you put on it. Such as fingerprints, ink, scratches and cracks. Note: Factory Condition, the way it was at the factory.

  5. Yeah. It goes back to the way when you first got it.
