  1. as long as it is petroleum jelly or has it in there cause it will damage the colour

  2. I personally used Bepanthem nappy rash cream and found it worked fantastically well.

Im not sure about the vaseline, it might sting, its best to have a non-scented cream.

  3. vaseline is bad for tattoos

  4. yes i think that would work well for your tat

  5. Should be o.k., remember not to scratch the scab.

  6. You aren't supposed to use anything scented at all until it is fully healed.  Go out and get Eucerin Aquaphor, it's what I was always told to put on my fresh tattoos.  I wouldn't use the lotion because is causes the skin to be too moist, thus potentially causing your colors to bleed.  Use the Aquaphor once when you get up and once when you go to bed, because like I said before you don't want it to be too moisturized or the colors will bleed.

  7. preperation h works well

  8. You should use the ointment only because it helps the healing process but I do know people who used lotion. Just make sure the lotion does not have any perfumes in it or else its going to burn really bad

  9. yeah

  10. i used A&D ointment on my first tattoo, and i don't recommend it. the colour will bleed because the ointment is greasy.

i have 9 tattoos, and on all my others i used polysporin cream, 3 times a day for 3 days. and afterwards, i used lubriderm lotion (you can use pretty much any unscented moisturizer) 3 times a day for the following 3 weeks.

  11. if i was you i would jus use some hemoroid creme.i always use this on my tatts and it stops them from scabbing

  12. I'm not sure, but apperently the best cream to use is Bepanthem (nappy rash cream)

Or try savlon! Vaseline should be finex

  13. EUCERIN AQUAPHOR!

  14. vaseline and water (ANY excess moisture) will cause a fresh tattoo to fade. If your tattoo has a lot of black in it it will look blue if you use gobs of vaseline. Keep your tattoo as clean as possible and massage it two to three times a day with unscented lotion. Whatever lotion you use, it should be dye and fragrance free. A lot of artists recommend Lubriderm, but I have found that Lubriderm stings when I apply it. Instead, I have had great success with Eucerin.

After a few days, you will notice some peeling and possibly a little scabbing. Excessive scabbing could indicate a poorly-done tattoo, but a little is sometimes normal and there is no need to panic. Apply warm moist compresses to the scabs for about 5 minutes 2-3 times a day to soften them and they will eventually come off on their own. (Do not apply ointment or lotion to a softened scab - wait for it to dry) You will also start to itch, just like a sunburn when it begins to heal. The advice here is, don't pick, and don't scratch! If the skin itches, slap it. If it is peeling, put lotion on it. And if it is scabbing, just leave it alone. Your tattoo is almost healed, and now is not the time to ruin it!

  15. yesssss

  16. yea that is the perfect cream to put on a tatoo it keeps it moisturized

  17. YES!!

Please use the A&D Ointment until the tattoo flakes and heals.

I have used different things on each of my tattoos, A&D being the one I used on the last tat I got. It helped it heal and holds in the color much better than using anything else.
