sometimes the girl has to initiate it just ask him out to a movie with some friends first so he doesnt feel awkward and slowly reduce the size of the group or see if he just wants to hang with you  and eventually he will show his true feelings

all relationships are based on communication, without it there is simply not a relationship.  So my advice is to talk to him and tell him how you are feeling.  I know it is scary because you may get rejected, but then again you might not; and isn't it better to know what is going on than not?
