  1. Just like in the US, unpaid tickets in Canada result in a warrant for your arrest. As one of your previous answers said, Canadian authorities won't hunt you down or extradite you for a traffic ticket, but should you return to Canada you might be arrested. It's a good idea to pay the ticket.


  2. If you NEVER plan on visiting Canada again, then once you step over the border, Canada can't hunt you down for that ticket (and it would be more costly for them to do that....especially if it was an infraction like speeding, parking meter, etc.).  US Customs won't ask you about the ticket.

    However, if you happen to go back to Canada, be sure Canadian customs WILL detain you and transfer you over to Canadian authorities.  Not only will you HAVE to pay the ticket, but perhaps spend some time in a jail cell as well.

    Best bet.....pay (or at the very least...FIGHT) the ticket and have no worries.

  3. Yup, well computerized hook up. Better settle it & pay the penalty so you'd be clean.
