we've been together for 3 and a half years, and i really dont know what to think. im obviously upset, but right now its like i dont believe what happened..how would you handle this?

My answer:  Your Best friend should have had more respect for you

and so should she. discuss the issue and find out if this was a heat of the moment thing or she feels like moving on. If she doesnt want to move on you two should work this out, 3.5 years is a large investment.

And everyone makes mistakes, and deserves a second chance. If she feels like moving on. Let her go...

This happended to me, I overeacted, i dumped the girl and beat the **** outta the guy

dump her in the river and move on. she shouldn't have cheated on your period, and to cheat on you with your best friend was even worse. i would ditch them both if it were my situation, because they obviously dont care about you or respect you enough. If they did, you wouldnt have caught them.

You are obviously one very classy brave man. So many would have ripped off the sheets & beaten him to a pulp. You just walked away unseen... that must have taken a great deal of control, You must also feel so betrayed & hurt. I think your plan to not walk back to either of them is a good one. You do not need anyone like that in your life. As classy as you seem to be, there will be some very lucky girl out there who will appreciate you some day. it is going to be hard on you because you have such a long relationship with her. But if she did do that to me I think it is best if you just let it go because she could do it again and maybe this time it will be with someone eles.
