What age does pre-teen start?

Because my cousin is 10 that i was babysitting last night for said that he is now considered a "pre-teen"?

I'd say about 9 or 10 through 12. Pre-ten is prior to teenage years, and so I think once you hit double digits, you're pretty much there.

hmm tough question, some would say its 12 year olds and some would say 10-12. Personally i say 10-12 because the jump from 9 to 10 seems quite alot probably to do with going into double figures but when a child turns 10 they seem to be more mature and seem to be acting more like a teen, hence being called a p*****n
