then we'll have a jihadist Prez..?

.... which will open us up to wholesale terrorism?

Face it - Sarah Palin says "Iraq is the work of God" and jihadists say that THEIR "work is the work of God"

So -- both groups of people believe that the killing of innocent people is OK, because God is on their side.

Uh.... do we really, truly want a religious extremist one itty bitty heartbeat away from the PRESIDENCY?

  1. What the h**l are you talking about?

If anyone is a "jihadist Prez", it would be Obama who at one time in his life has been a Muslim.

Man, talk about negativity. I can't believe that 4 yrs ago I voted for Kerry but this year I am voting Republican because the Democrats have completely lost their minds and decided to follow a racist, lying, egotistical candidate. I would NEVER vote for Obama!!

I can't believe so many people are so blind to see what this guy really is.

  2. wow, you totally took something out of context.... you're trying to make a point by doing something so idiotic, other people here know you took it out of context too. they aren't stupid.

  3. I had the misfortune of witnessing Palin's speech on the box, and the resultant aftermath of seeing all the cretins crawling out of the woodwork to praise her insensible rants delivered in a matter-of-fact newscaster way was.....Disgusting.

Her attacks on "Elitists" - since when did being the best at something or supporting those that are best, become wrong? Is she advocating that America should be governed by failures and idiots? Should we be sending the worst athletes to the Olympics for fear of encouraging elitists? It's --- I am quite lost for a suitable word -- cretinous. This anti-intellectual, anti-education, anti-meritocratic moron has the gall to say these things and people actually applaud? What kind of country is America?

"Work of God" - None of the answers here seem to get the very simple point that there are clear central themes running through her speech about the neo-cons:

    1) They are ignorant (And want to keep it that way),

    2) They attack anyone who is not one of "them", and

    3) They are EXACTLY like the people they confess to hating and despising: Communists (In their conducts in political office), terrorists (In their attacks on civilians of a different faith), and fascists (Using a mumbo-jumbo collection of religion, corporatism, and enforced patriotism to control every society they invade).

With Palin's introduction, they could not have revealed themselves any clearer. Evil walks the earth - anyone who prostitutes her faith for a lousy vote deserves to be called evil.

I'm not even a supporter of Obama, but whether or not you hate him, he's the only choice. The alternative is much, much worse.

  4. Well after surviving 8 years of Bush-Chaney, if we do survive, I am sure we would survive a Sarah Palin's presidency. Forget the canned speech, look at her record. She did take on the good old boys in her own party and the Oil lobby in Alaska so she is not as scary to me as she may appear in an attempt to rally the right wing. They all say just about anything to get elected. Remember George Bush promising to restore decency in the white house and the compassionate conservatism. Need I say more?

  5. that's the stupidest thing i have  heard all day

  6. This may be the stupidest thing I've ever read.  I fear more you being an itty bitty bit away from your keyboard.

  7. To Glenda B: I follow your logic and while it's inflammatory...I agree that we would be in serious Trouble w/ Palin as prez should anything happen to McCain who is in prime heart attack age.  It's a sad, sad joke to think she is anywhere qualified to be VP.  I've wondered what the current VP must be thinking about as he ponders the possibility of Palin replacing him...I envision his devilish laugh cackling at the thought.

    To crb11256:

Obama once a Muslim? When? Unless I missed it while skimming Obama's two books and sundry news interviews, the senator has never mentioned being a Muslim at any point in his life. Yes, he lived in a Muslim country during part of his childhood and briefly attended a Muslim school there, but he certainly wasn't raised a Muslim and has never been, so far as I have been able to determine, a practitioner of that faith.

That anyone, let alone a sitting U.S. senator with designs on the highest office in the land, would conceal being a Muslim for twenty-odd years while going through the outward motions of practicing Christianity (or vice-versa, for that matter) is a bizarre accusation. I would be tempted to dismiss it as paranoid lunacy if it weren't so obviously a crass, politically-motivated smear.

  8. i hate to wish ill on anyone one,but palin would be a far better choice for president

  9. Scary.
