  1. It is actually a very good point. However, I am always wondering why the modern pitchers last shorter than pitchers in the old days. Compare Carlos with some of the old age pitchers, he really did not throw that many innings when he was young. Anyway, protecting young pitchers is a important issues for every manager especially for Carlos who has a very fiery personality and might from time to time relying on his stuff too enough and caused the stress on his arm.

  2. Yes and and it will also be another excuse for " choking " again .

  3. Yes, to CubsBear there still are intelligent people on Yahoo Baseball Answers

This particular question is a nonsequiter, however, and as such, should be be ignored.

No manager is perfect and if all you have available is Prior, Wood, and assorted others to anchor your rotation, that is not specifically, your, the manager's problem.

Dusty is a competent major league manager, and  as such, should be treated with respect.

Aside from Prior or Woods, what other "pitcher" has he "ruined"?

  4. yes..

  5. Injuries occur all the time in baseball when these players push their bodies to the ragged edge.  There are always those that like to point fingers so I would expect that some will bring Baker back into the picture.

  6. get your laughs in now, this is the mother of all next years

  7. Either Baker or Bartman. The Cubs fans will find a way.

  8. It'll somehow come back to be the goats fault.

  9. Yes of course

  10. What a dumb question followed by a lot of retarded answers.  Are there any intellignt baseball fans left on this site?
