Or wil Ray Nagin take credit for it? You know...since he whipped out his blame thrower so fast last time.

  1. We'll find out soon enough, won't we?

  2. No. No. No. We should judge G. Dudya by his response to Katrina. His indifference to those people of that time should be the barometer by which we judge his character. He failed to lead at a time that was crucial. War is all he has stood for in the eight years he has served. Seven Days before relief began, people suffering in the streets, dieing in the sweltering heat, day after day of being ignored. It will be different this time, because and only because this is an ELECTION YEAR. And a very important ELECTION YEAR. It's three years too late to undo the past and too late to undrop the ball. Just one more sample of Bush's idiocy.

  3. You know Nagin and the governor are going to take credit for it.

  4. No.  It will be an example of what happens when a corrupt Democrat governor is replaced by a competent and honest Republican.

The fact of the matter is that the problems with the response to Katrina were completely beyond what FEMA and the President could do anything about.

I was one of the initial people who responded to New Orleans after Katrina.  When I got there - our resources were one highway that was clogged with refugee traffic and a damaged military airfield with no usable fuel.  We did the math and realized that it was physically impossible to transport and distribute the necessary amount of relief supplies to the people who needed them.

  5. haha nice joke

  6. He is a hero no matter what the left wing wacko preach to the liberal brethren......its all a bunch of bs...that's why I HATE LIBERALS!!!!

  7. while 10 billion a month is looted in Iraq, the levy's remain broken....you figure it out...Swiss banks anyone....?

  8. No.  GWB was shamed into reconstituting FEMA after the last debacle.  He stupidly gutted FEMA, ran off the long time professionals and replaced them with novices like "Brownie".  Result?  the Katrina disaster.

  9. If every man, woman and child in NO refuses to be evacuated this time, free by the way, it's no ones fault but their own.  Much of what George Bush was blamed for during Katrina was a lack of personal responsibility on the part of the NO residents and apathy of Mayor Nagin and the LA governor.

Yet, there will still be people who will stay and, if the storm hits, blame someone else.  They were already people being interviewed who were refusing to leave.  I don't want to see a single helicopter plucking these people off of their roof. $700,000 for charter buses, free train and plane rides out.
