and i want to make a cd for my friends that can sum up our highschool experiences/friendship/the end of a certain event in our lives but none of my friends have the same taste in music so i need a bunch of different songs. any ideas?

Coldplay has some really good descriptional songs but they might be too mushy for you and your pals. The Killers also have some good ones that are upbeat and not so mushy. Examples: Sams Town, When You Were Young, and This River is Wild. All the songs are from their album "Sams Town". Also, the hit 90's song: Everybody's Free (to wear sunscreen) sung by Baz Luhrmann is a great graduation song. Keane has a good one titled: Simple Friend.
