So...is a Headunit significant toward sound quality if you do have an amp powering your subs?

i have the 1000w pioneer pdx 1.1000 powering the two alpine swr 122D subs

YES i used to think it didnt but i had a clarion VRX765VD and i recently bought a KEnwood DDX512 to replace the clarion and buy this thing bump this unit made the subs vibrate everything in my car and both HU's ahd the same pre amp out voltage too (not that it make a huge diff)
