I have heard several people say that they found out super early that they were having a girl so what I am wondering is if you have heard that it's easier to tell a girl from a boy in early ultrasounds! I am having one done next Tues and I will be 16 weeks exactly on that day so I am trying to figure out what my chances are of finding out...I have a gut feeling it's a girl!

  1. I am a girl and they said i was going to be a boy and i have a brother who they said was going to be a girl

  2. I think its easier to tell if your having a boy... but thats just my opinion! at 12 weeks I had an ultra sound due to having to go to the er, and the lady that gave it to me told me then I was having a lil boy! She was right, but I guess her statistics were good lol they are 50-50.

    Congrats!

  3. i think it really depends on the person performing the ultrasound it depends on how experienced they are my tech could tell without a doubt i was having a girl which i did not believe her until i had my second a month later she said definitely a girl:) but i have had some less exp. techs tell me girl with all four of my boys!

  4. the4y wont usually tell you tell a 20 weeks scan the s*x of your baby, as it is only just forming, youll just have to wait and see what they say when you get there,xx

  5. I found out I was having a boy at 15 wks. It is easier to tell a boy than girl on u/s...Good Luck

  6. My technician said it's easier to tell if it's a boy because they are looking for hard evidence of the p***s and testicles.  With a girl sometimes they are just guessing because they didn't see the male parts.

  7. I dont know for sure but I would THINK a boy would be easier to spot then a girl....i have heard of a bunch of people that they were told they were having girls but then it turns out to be a boy!  I havnt heard of anybody who had it the other way around....

  8. I'm thinking that boys are easier to tell because they are distinctively looking for male parts and usually assume girls are because of absence...  I'd wait till another scan because the genitalia looks similar at that stage.. but it also depends on the tech... so do whatever you think is right.

  9. its easier to tell a boy. girls and boys look almost the same (i have that book a child is born, CRAZY pictures) a girls girly parts dont look girly AT ALL until about 14-16 weeks. bascially a clitoris and a p***s are made up of the same thing and it even looks similar when the baby is that small. however, with a boy, in an ultrasound they can the boy plumbing as early as 12 weeks but not accuratley till later, meaning they can say its probably a boy but not with certainty. i had a 3d ultrasound at 14weeks and you could CLEARLY see a p***s, it was DEFINATELY a boy, no doubt about it.

  10. From looking at my friends ultrasound and seeing my own, boy is easier to tell. But he had his legs wide open and his stuff was RIGHT there. No questions about his gender at all
