  1. Take it back to the park and put it back in the same spot you took it from.  If you're lucky the mother might try to hatch it.  She knows where she laid it.  If you want to hatch duck eggs, buy them from a reputable hatchery after you research how to do it.

  2. leave in in your back yard and see what goona happen to the egg, maybe u'll have a duck.

  3. That is highly illegal. You should not go about picking up eggs that have been laid by wild animals, even if it is from a relatively common bird!!!

Eggs don't just pop out of a bird with minimum effort you know. It's hard work laying something that big just for someone to go nick it. Also, now you have taken the egg, the duck will not go back to that area to lay any more, they can sense you've been there, so then they'll think "what's gonna stop 'em from coming back again?!". Now the poor duck has to go about making another nesting site! So it's no use putting it back. Anyway, that's my rant over, just please; don't do that again, k?

As for you wanting to hatch it, you have absolutely no chance. Not unless you happen to have a broody hen/duck in your back garden, or a spare incubator up in your attic, at least.

I'd be willing to bet the egg is already no good anyway, especially if you found it in an easily accessible place. Who knows how long it's been there for? I'd get rid of it, in case it explodes or something 'cause rotten eggs do that.

If you want a pet duckling, I suggest going to a professional dealer, who specialises in commercial ducks, they aren't that expensive, and they are lovely pets. Chickens would be even better. Just please, don't go picking up wild birds eggs, especially if you have no idea what to do with them!!
