1. There are more restrictions on carry on than on checked baggage.

    Here's your definitive information:

  2. you can actually take some weapons in your checked luggage

i took a sword in my checked but it was on top of everything else in there so security knew i wasnt trying to hide it (plus, i phoned ahead and asked

for liquids in carry on. does not matter, it can be big or little. I just got back from Africa i was there for awhile so i had big things of shampoo/conditioner and bodywash didnt have a problem

but carryon is a different story, since you didnt ask about carryons ill leave it

  3. Well sort of yes but your can't take illigal drugs, flammables, weapons - basically anything that poses a risk to national security. You can have nail files, scissors, razors in your check in baggage just not in carry on. This is because they don't want you to attack anyone on the flight but if you ask me there are steel kinives on some flights and these can cause damage so it should all be plastic. then again I guess people in first class would never try to hurt anyone??????????

  4. You got it, I packed a couple bottles of wine and all kinds of c**p like gel and shampoo when coming back from Italy and no one said anything. I even got through security with liquid for my baby. That is the only exception for carrying on liquid brought in from the outside world.

  5. it does to matter what size gel or lotion

    nothing bigger than 8 oz

  6. That is correct. Your carry-on luggage cannot include any liquids or gels in containers of more than 100 mililetres each and, of course, the obvious stuff such as weapons, flammable liquids, compressed gas canisters or anything else that might blow a hole in the plane. You can have larger volume liquids such as wine and liquor bottles in your checked luggage, but it's a good idea to wrap them up well in plastic bags in case they break during transit.

  7. That's correct..........

  8. Correct.
