Sami was and is a heck of a player. I enjoyed watching him play. If he is leaving. That is really too bad

im going to miss sami he was a good player. we need to go out and get a fourth line guy now. well we need to make changes. if rj goes we need a second line guy and if vinny goes we need a first liner. we need a solid dfenceman so go out and get brian campbell. or if the can not get him go after john michael liles. but we need a new fourth liner to replace kaps we need a second liner. well we do have lupul, hartnell and richards. in one line. if we get back vinny we can have prospal, danny and gagne on one line, keep the knuble, carter, upshall line. we need to resign jeff. we are going to need a fourth line center if jimmy dowd goes. but in the end we will be fine. we are the best in the league and we will go to the cup finals next year. i will want to see us win next year.

Kind of saw this coming. He had a nice NHL career. Way tougher to play against than people give him credit.

He'll be missed.Who can forget the check he took from Tucker and got to the bench and a minute later JR sending the Flyers to the Conference finals.

At his age and condition it is probably best for him to go home and prolong his career. The Flyers need the cap room and Sami has to move on. He is certainly one of the best players to wear the Flyers colors and one of the most unsung Philadelphia athletes.

Aww I liked Sami.I wish him the best of luck back in Finland.

Other then Leclair and Lindros,Sami was my favorite Flyer.
