So many blank DVDs out there...which one to buy?

DVD+R, DVD+- what? Me and my buddies just made our first home movie...what is best one to buy..to burn the final edit? I want a good one..that will play in most DVD players etc....(usa). Why so many? What does it all mean? Yikes!

I use Maxell CD-RW  think they are as good as any no problem with them

I bought Memorex DVD-R    If you look on the back of the package it will show you what best works with what.  On the  -/+  part – is the most common for DVD players I have never had a problem with the minus ones but you have to be careful that your recorder can handle them 2 some older ones cant.

The plus dvd I have had some problems were it would work on my computer but not in my dvd player so I just stay with minus hope it helps a little :)

well i jus asked the same question the other day because i needed blank dvds and the store person told me dvd-r were really good to use you before you buy why dont you ask someone just to make sure ok tootz!!!
