So many questions on pregnancy. where is the education? There are question on here all of the time .?

Questions like, "am I pregnant? could I be pregnant? is it possible to be pregnant?..." I feel for these young ladies and pray they are not harming themselves or (for lack of a better term here, and I apologize if this phrase upsets anyone) ruing their lives by becoming pregnant as a teenager, but with the questions asked on here I am just curious if kids are not being educated on the perils of teen age s*x and especially of unprotected sexual relations. I am just curious as to everyone else's opinion, both older people and also would love to hear from teenagers as well. And this is not limited to just the girls, the boys have as much to do with this,and really more as he is supposed to be the gentleman and not do anything to harm a lady.

I hate every time I click on the pregnancy section half of the questions on here are "am i pregnant" and such.

Seriously try to see if someone else asked a similar question before posting it. Or take a test. Most of the time its all in there heads.

Its not about teaching its about curiosity! most teens are curious and go for it some have birth control and use a condom but still wind up prego. No matter how many classes you take the curisoity is still going to be there and we will eventually go at it..some are smarter than others... I am a teen mom and dont feel that i have runied my life because I know i can do anything i want to if i just set my mind to it... also i am still completeing high school and going further in my education...so i dont belive my son ruined my life he actually made it stronger and no he was not planned it just happened...

I agree with the first poster in that I didn't know much about the female cycle and pregnancy before I became pregnant myself. I'm 23 now and 38 weeks pregnant. I find it very frustrating the range of questions in the "pregnancy" section of this board. "Could I be pregnant?" - this bothers me a lot, especially when the first sentence of their question is "so, I had unprotected s*x and..." If you have s*x AT ALL it is possible to become pregnant! I became pregnant while ON the birth control pill, and kids need to know this stuff before hopping in bed with their boyfriends/girlfriends.

I think theres is a SERIOUS lack of s*x education in schools, and that parents aren't doing a d**n thing to help it.  I will be honest with you, half of the stuff I know now, I didn't know as a teenager and its a miracle that I didn't get pregnant before I did.  I only learned these things from the internet and from college. Someone really ought to be teaching these kids about s*x...and how no method of birth control is 100% effective against pregnancy, so they shouldn't be having s*x at all until they are emotionally ready to raise a child.

I agree 100% and what irritates me the most is they never ask could I have a std.The aids rate in teens is one of the highest in my state.forget pregnancy they should be asking am I going to die before I reach twenty
