So many racist people in the world?

of if you live with a family member who IS...or you're a really close friend of someone who IS. So I'm

not trying to get into a heated argument with anyone about this question and I'd appreciate if you don't respond out of stupidity and ignorance. I want honesty. So my question is if you're any of the 3 listed above I'm just wondering, what about Black people do you hate so much,that you feel you're better than them. So basically i'm asking why do you not like black people?

I'm not really racist against anyone but the thing that bugs me (not just black ppl ) is it seems like theres an image they all feel like they have to be... and its not a very good image... gangs , shooting... drugs.... having s*x with girls.... being a w***e..... not finishing school.... talking like a idiot.... ppl can be sooo much better than that but for some reason their not. Just because some racist ppl think that because their white their smart and black ppl are not but they can be smart too if they tried to do something like the many famous African americans that made something of themselves and proved the racist whites wrong.... another thing WHITE PPL ARE NOT THE ONLY RACIST PPL! in my opinion black ppl can be just as racist... they cant blame everything on how their great great great grand parents were treated those times are gone... for the most part everyone has an equal opportunity just most ppl dont take the opportunity.

i hate racism.  i don't understand it.  i mean, we are all people and should be treated that way.

My mom and dad are not racist, however, they tend to make fun of black people because in my town, there are no blacks in the high-class of town, all the blacks live down town, and there are always murders down there, and alot of girls down there don't seem like they have any class or are modest. Really, you can go down the street and see a half naked black prancing around.

There is no hate talk here, if you start hating on the opposite race you get probation and community service, so if you want to do hating, you talk to your family about things that the opposite race does that is annoying.

I guess we our town alot has some racism problems, but we are fair to the blacks, NOBODY is holding them back from going to school and getting a education and getting a job that pays well so they can move in on the higher parts of the town.

My dad also does not like the fact most black parents [in our town] do not work, he says they just have more and more kids so they get money in the mail every month for every kid they have. It is rare to see a black family without at least 4 kids in our town.

Now, I have been to other states and cities and blacks are very high class :-)

P.S take note that I am clearly talking about my town, and the way things are....

Someone close to me (older generation) is racist and we argue about it often.  I am sure that it's because of the way he was raised, but still, I heard my grandparents speak ill of other races and all it did to me was make me ashamed of my OWN race for speaking that way about others.  I suppose they were just insecure, or afraid because of a culture clash.  But if they would just be reasonable, they would see that our similarities outnumber our differences.

My bf is black, and I am so glad I live today, in a time where there is at least "less" racism than in years past.  I just don't understand it, never did and never will.  In nature, there is always harmony in diversity.  In music, when you play "C" by itself, it sounds dull.  But add "E" and "G" and it blends perfectly... yet they each sound different.  Why can't we all get along, we're one race, just different ethnic backgrounds, and it's all good!
