  1. The taxpayers have probably been supporting her seven children for the last how-ever-many years. We might as well support her, too.

  2. Most men would let the woman go, as long as she didn't try to make trouble for him and his child. I know I would.

The custodial parent has the sweeter deal, by far. I'd rather do without child support from a deadbeat ex-wife, and pay all the child's upbringing costs myself, if it meant that I could be the child's primary moral guide and life-teacher, without having to worry about having the child used against me by a hostile former spouse.

The ex could keep her d**n money and go her way, as long as she didn't bother me and my child. I'd never report her, as long as she didn't meddle. She could start over with some other man, and I wouldn't care, as long as nothing happened to jeopardize my custodial relationship with my child.

  3. Not anymore than I feel bad for a deadbeat dad.

  4. Why can only men have an opinion?

Of course she is a deadbeat, and yes she should be in jail.  Why not?  Because their father(s) had to work two jobs to support the  kids or because she knowingly ran from the law?  Is it worthy of being the Top 10 Most Wanted in Ok?  Probably not unless Oklahoma has less than 10 murders, rapes and assault (including domestic violence) cases a year combined.

  5. She should be in jail. Everyone should be treated equally when it comes to not paying child support, for gender of the offender should not play any type of a role in the punishment. She willing broke the law, so she should do the time.

  6. Great, NOW how much of that $210,000 are her kids ever going to see?

She'll get out of prison, be even LESS employable, and the state will end up paying for her as well as her kids.

Get her out of prison, into a supervised accommodation with an ankle bracelet on and working ~ then garnishee her wages until the money is repaid.

And some counselling for her and the kids might help, too!

I'd love to know the background history of some of these 'snapshots' the media comes up with ~ I wonder about the mental state of a woman who births seven kids then runs away ... but whatever, sitting in a cell won't help her kids into shoes and education.

    Cheers :-)

  7. "Deadbeat" mums and dads? What a judgemental expression.

  8. I think dead beat moms should be treated the same as dead beat dads, h**l yes I think she should be jailed!

  9. I believe we have a terribly flawed system and labeling people as deadbeat parents is premature. All to often the courts make rulings that are unreasonable for one parent to live up to. Thats not to say plenty don't deserve the label just that I reserve the right to get more information before i assign it to anyone.

Personally I have to wonder how she could be in the hole for 210,000.00 I would suspect there is far more to the story that the news for reasons of sensationalizing opt not to report.
