So much confusion. Am I pregnant or not?

I'm having a little bit of confusion. My fiance and I were trying for a baby and we thought it worked at first. So I took a test and it came back negative. I took the test on the same day I was supposed to get my period. I ended up getting my period that night and it lasted for about 2 days when it usually lasts about 6. So when my period stopped I gave it time to see if it would come back. During that time I got sick to my stomach every night and sometimes right after I would wake up. And I was crying all the time for nothing and I was super depressed. It never came back so I went to the doctor. This was about 2 weeks after my period. The test came back negative then too. So I forgot about it. From that point on (its been about 8 weeks) I have felt heavier. I don't get sick to my stomach anymore. But my b***s have gotten larger and they are always sore. And my lower stomach is harder. And on top of that I want to sleep all the time. But I got my last period. Or I thought it was my period. It lasted about 5 days and was heavy like it usually is but I'm still having my symptoms. I decided Im not taking anymore tests because I've already taken 4. I am just going to wait and see if I start to get fat. But what do you think? Am I pregnant or not?

  1. i would ask for a blood test to put your mind at rest because if you are pregnant you need to look after your self with prenatal vitamins ect explain your symptoms to your doctor and see what he as to say, but for some reason some woman do still get bleeding through pregnancy

  2. if you had your regular period i doubt youre pregnant. but i would go to a doctor as you may of had a miscarriage or something..or it could of been a phantom pregnancy where your body convinces you that youre pregnant. good luck

  3. Some women want pregnancy so bad that they can fool their body into thinking they are, symptoms and all. If you're still convinced that you are, have your doctor do a blood test...no lying there! Good luck

  4. your stomach getting hard happens and about 16 weeks of pregnancy for most people. and those are all period symptoms. if you had bleeding then no, you're not pregnant. look up period symptoms.

  5. I would say go to a doctor.  There they can do a blood test and maybe even an ultrasound to see if you are or not.

  6. sounds like you are not pregnant. Some women DO have periods during pregnancy (or bleeding I should say), BUT you took several tests. Also crying a lot could be from the stress of trying and not getting pregnant right off - that could be the cause for the lighter period too. I have missed periods all together and not been pregnant before - and swore I was - but was wrong. A lot of stuff can make you late or miss.

Also I am currently 13 weeks along and my uterus is BARELY above my pubic bone. At 8 weeks you would not be able to tell a a difference in your tummy AT ALL. But there are woman who have truly believed they were pregnant when they weren't and fooled their bodies into thinking so too - they gained weight and looked pregnant - but were not. If you think you really might be then have a doctor or lab do a blood test - blood tests do not lie. :)

Best of luck to you hun!!
