  1. we have solved that problem we wrap in many different things here are a few ideas1 gift bags great and very reusable and they have something to take there gifts home in 2dish towels why not every dries dishes some time and its a gift at the same time and with protect a breakable gift3 tee shirts same as towel 4the funny pages from the newspaper {my nephews really like this} or even old comics

  2. what a coincidence :)

I just finished packing mine in newspaper, then came on here and saw your question

    its a jolly good idea!

especially in this new age of green thinking.

  3. a gift should be a real suprise for the person to whom we gift it so if we take it from our bag and give it as it is that person will know what we have given and will also be happy seeing it . we can buy a better gift with out wasting money on packing paper .but news paper packing is a very bad idea.

  4. I agree, a law should be passed that a gift not wrapped in newspaper will attract gift wrapping tax.

Penny scrubbing finance minster will be pleased with the suggestion for tax enhancement

  5. hi!

no, it will like giving gifts just like that.......

it needs some special  arrangement to special person.........

    merry xmas

    keep smiling:-)

  6. You are absolutely correct. We can also unwrap the gifts slowly and then use the same paper again to wrap another gift and so on. Also, we should not throw the paper after opening the gift, as many times we do the same thing as we are much excited after looking the gift.

  7. you are right in some ways-we do spend a lot of money and trees making wrapping paper, just to have the kids of today rip it off greedily, but, as far as i know, the world is too far into the tradition to start wrapping gifts in newspaper- you also spend money and trees buying newspaper *_*

  8. You are talking about packing look at our govt. offices lines and lines of files of paper which may never ever be used, they expect all forms in triplicate sometimes 7 copies of 8-10 documents for a single person.

And we are supposed to be the IT pioneer, llok at our govt. it cant get even its records computerised and reduce paper docs.

  9. I think that reusable fabric gift bags are a beautiful option that could catch on. I made several from shimmering Asian brocades, and they looked gorgeous under the tree.

They aren't peek-proof though, and some people have said that they enjoy the rrrriiiippp of the wrapping paper.

  10. I wrap presents in Blueprint paper from work.  I started doing this in 1983 when I entered the construction trades.  People love to look at building plans after they open the gift.  I have not purchased gift wrap since 1993 because I bought a bunch on sale after the holidays.  Better yet give the gift in one of those new reusable grocery bags that are replacing paper and plastic.  You can also recycle "holiday" and birthday cards by cutting off the message side and using the "cover" as a gift tag.  Cheers!

  11. so long as paper is used for gifts, they are not waste, It can be sent to recylers.

  12. I read my newspapers on line.

  13. come on !!!how would u fell if you get your bday gift wrapped in a newspaper?!!

  14. Hi. Excellent idea. But don't you think using recycled paper is a much better option?

Recycled paper enhances the ambience and is eco friendly?

Do give it a thought. Thanks..

  15. Newspaper?  Why do you have THAT when you can get the paper online?

If you want to save paper quit receiving the newspaper.  One year of the local paper will weigh 600 lbs.  One Christmas's packaging will probably weigh 20 lbs or so.

  16. My family always saves all of our bags after opening presents, and reuses them the next year; for those who don't want to wrap their presents in newspaper.  Also, a cute idea for making cards or name tags is to cut out the picture on the front of old cards, and just write a little note on the back of the picture.  I think its a great idea to wrap presents with the comic section of the newspaper.  Atleast I know, I love reading comics, and this will make the opening part of the presents even more fun.

  17. you made an excellent point, yet for some families its a tradition but unless it is we can just use news paper

  18. u have a point, but do u want ur Christmas gift wrapped in newspaper? paper is wasted all the time in other ways. we throw away paper all the time in the trash and not put it in the recycle bin. we all need to recycle to make a big difference. almost 80% of trash in the waste basket is paper. just look in your trash can and see what's in there. you'll be surprised.

  19. What about greeting through Emails or SMS.

  20. Well...we can...but the problem lies in the mentality of the ppl....well...ppl. want the be someone different ,they want to be one out of the crowd not one in the crowd...n packing gifts in a different way is a medium by which u can stand out...if we break thru this mentality...we can surely save paper ...but its like...if u pack gifts in newspapers  u will be considered as uncool or boring...n dats what ppl. are afraid of..but if we decide together we can surely pack gifts in newspaper.............

  21. I think good point to discuss!!!

uses of news-paper will looks more creative and classical
