In a bottle of Pepsi, there's 28 grams of sugar. In a can of Hawaiian juice drink, there's 31 grams of sugar.

If 4 grams of sugar amounts to 1 sugar cube, how is it possible for all that sugar to exist in that bottle or can? Are there really 14 sugar cubes inside that bottle of Pepsi?

  1. sugar dissolves! it doesn't raise the volume much in a dissolved state.

  2. you better believe it!!!  please cut out drinking any type of coke. It is not good for you. People guzzle down sugar everyday and it is taking a toll on our waste lines

  3. Yes there are.  Why do you think acid tastes so good?

  4. Because they are melted.

  5. A sugar cube takes up more space than dissolved sugar.  There is a lot of air in a sugar cube or granulated sugar as far as that goes.  Melt a sugar cube and it isn't much.  But yes, you can get that much sugar and more in canned or bottled drinks.
