Question:

So my DVD Rom drive was fried in my Xbox but I called and said it was the three red lights flashing?

I did this because

A) they fix it for free if it is the three red lights for three years and it as out of the one year complete warranty

and

B) because the three red flashing lights indicate a hardware failure (according to xbox.com) and well if a DVD-ROM drive failed I don't know I consider that a hardware failure because well I don't know it's hardware

anyways what do you think my chances of just swapping out my machine and put it off to the side to be refurb later are instead of them actually trying to trouble shoot my machine before they send me a new one.

I mean with all that break all the time and with a 3 week turn around it seems to me they don't even bother trouble shooting your system and just send a new one out because it takes a good 3 to 4 days to get there and 3 to 4 days to get back

What do you guys think?

  1. i think they jsut swap it if its rrod

    every day, i tracked my xbox 360 when i sent it in

    i saw that they sent it abck to me the day after they got it

    well i'm sure they didn't check it as i told them that only sometimes, i get the freezing and stuff and the guy said its a symptom of the rrod

    what they do is transfer the license of ur warranty over to the refurbished 360 ur getting


  2. They check all of them now since some people have done the same thing you're attempting. if they see that has never RRoD on you it will be sent back without being fixed.
