  1. I like the smell of "Clean Linen" they have a carpet powder you can sprinkle in your carpet then vaccum it up. Or the plug ins will be your longest lasting.

  2. I like Air Wicks!!!!  There's a vanilla aroma that is so delicious.

  3. Nothing is going to really last because the smell you like is molecules leaving the object and going into your nose. Nothing has an unending source of molecules.

I suggest picking up some essential oils from a health food store or head shop. They're really concentrated, so a couple drops in a little candleholder or whatever do the trick. (They have diffusers, too.) Not strong enough or starting to fade? Add a few drops. There are hundreds of scents.

This is your best option because most air fresheners contain phthlates, which some studies have linked to gender-development problems in men. The FDA requires products with phthlates to be labeled as such ... unless the phthlate is used as scent, which is what most scented candles and air fresheners use them for.

Use the essential oils all you want without risking inhaling way more chemicals than you should.

  4. Glade plug-ins last like 6 weeks. So that would be my first option. I like the "Clean linen" scent they have the most. Lighting candles or incense can work too. And of course keeping your room as clean as possible on top of these things. But yeah.. the Glade plug-ins are very strong.. so the smell shouldn't just go away.
