So my t.v. screen turnede green?

so my T.V. screen just turned green. How do I fix it? I've tried going to menu nd doing the picture c**p. Is it because of some of the cables. I have a Sony Bravia. Please help and preferable step by step help.

  1. This means the tube has gone out. Not good.


  2. This usually happens when you or someone, waves some type of magnet too close to the screen. Sometimes it goes away on it's on. Sometimes it is permamently damaged. Another reason is age, if the tv is old it is telling you it's about to go out.

  3. Is it a flat screen, or a tube type?

  4. are you connecting with a scart? sometimes if the scart isnt in properly or the actual scart cable is faulty you will have a green or red screen because the colours loose the sync signal. try that.

    is your Bravia an LCD tv or a rear projection LCD?

    rear projection lcd's have a rotating colour disk with the primary colours (red, Blue Green), if you still have a green picture after checking the above then you could have a fault with the projector wheel
