That's not necessary. But if you're a dedicated releaser, or seeding files, you might want to put your upload speed in unlimited mode.

Setting upload in uTorrent is a fine line.  The higher the upload rate, the more download you will receive from other peers.  However, if too high, then needed communications will not be able to get through and download speeds will suffer.

The general rule is that upload in uTorrent should be capped at 80% of your internet connection's upload capacity.  Download can be capped at 90% (or left unlimited as it is rarely an issue).
