  2. go to church on sundays

  3. If the God you are referring to is YHVH, The Creator, The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, The God of Israel, The only True and Living God, then yes.

    "Old covenant" is mentioned only once in the entire Hebrew and "New" testament accounts:

    2 Cor 3:14  But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.

    2 Cor 3:15  But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart;

    2 Cor 3:16  but whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

    Paul's words still hold true, to this very day a veil continues to lie over the hearts of people when Moses is read to them because "their minds were hardened".

    Therefore we must "turn to the Messiah" (2 Corinthians 3:16), circumcise and REMOVE THE VEIL from our hearts in order to LISTEN TO MOSES (Luke 16:31) and observe the Commandments and Sabbath of YHVH.

    Mat 22:37  And He said to him, "'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'

    Deu 10:16  "Circumcise then your heart, and stiffen your neck no more.

    Luke 16:30  "But he said, 'No, Father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!'

    Luke 16:31  "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.'"

    Neh 9:29  And admonished them in order to turn them back to Thy law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to Thy commandments but sinned against Thine ordinances, By which if a man observes them he shall live. And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen.

    If the Hebrew "old" covenant is only for the children of Israel then the New Covenant is only for the "House of Israel" and the "House of Judah", the divided Kingdom of Israel:

    Heb 8:8  For finding fault with them, He says, "BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL EFFECT A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH;

    When YHVH promises He will make an eternal, "everlasting" covenant with Abraham and to his seed, the children of Israel, He will keep it. He is not like a man that He should lie.

    Num 23:19  "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

    Num 23:20  "Behold, I have received a command to bless; When He has blessed, then I cannot revoke it.

    Gen 17:19  And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

    No matter how corrupt man has become, Elohim makes a way for His eternal covenant to stand for a faithful remnant of Israel and those joined to them. It is through the death and resurrection of the Messiah that this is achieved.

    Eph 2:12  remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

    Isa 56:8  The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

  4. I'd give it a shot.

  5. The Sabbath day was part of the sacrifices performed to keep the laws of Moses in the old testament. They appeased the wrath of God ,but never forgave them. When Jesus died on the cross He became our sacrifice. We go to Him for forgiveness and rest. So to remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy, go to Jesus.

  6. I do !

    The Sabbath is from sunset Friday to sunset on Saturday.

    It is NOT Sunday.

    Jesus and His disciples never kept Sunday Holy !

  7. Yes. Saturday.

  8. If God asked me anything, after all the trying I've done, even as an atheist, to get him to say anything to me...I'd pretty much say yes. I'd be thrilled.

  9. If God commanded you to sacrifice your eldest son, would you?

    Why would God command me to keep the sabbath, seeing as it was the sign between God and the sons of Israel in relation to the old covenant?  He would not.  God does not do things illegally.  It is strange that you believe He would.
