I don't think Obama ever said get rid of all the old white guys.  What he says is Washington needs new ideas, new leadership and new ways of moving our country forward.  His platform reflects that.

I believe Rickey has the right idea,skinless people.Remember the joke about the bus driver in the Bama days. He got tired of hearing people argue where to sit on the bus,so he told them there would be no black or whites on his bus.Everbody would be green.Everbody got that,he yelled.O.K. now dark green to the back of the bus,light green to the front.So color doesn't  really matter does it?

I honestly think it was a mistake.  His best option for a running mate would have been Hillary Clinton, as it would have all but guaranteed the victory.  The odd thing is the republican candidate chose a female running mate(which will obviously alienate good ole boy republicans from the southern states).  Of course, it could have been worse on McCain.  He could have chosen a black female running mate.  At this point, I honestly do not see how this nation will survive the next 8 years without some sort of civil war or revolution occurring.  When did the United States wind up with the government of a Central American country(and no this isn't anything towards illegal or legal Latin American immigrants, just a commentary on the instability that seems prevalent in the United States government now being similar to that of a nation like, say, Nicaragua)?
