They way Russia is going it wont just be a cold war but they will become outcasts and the long queues for bread will be back with avengance.

If none of us take a stand now, then we will have world war 3. If I hear of any moron from whichever nation threaten the world with a third world war then I (with no money or influence) will try my best to stop it by diplomacy and whatever. I hope for peace and not war. I wouldn't put it past Bush or that Putin to fire nukes at each other as they have no consideration for other people included those in their own countries. They probably don't care about their own lives either.

Russia is not going to strike Poland with a Nuke, over a radar station and a few Patriot Interceptor (none ballistic, none nuclear) missles.  This is simple fear tactics.  Same as them saying the Georgian aggression "forced" them to take action.  S.Osseita is on GEORGIAN soil.  They are separtists, who have rebeled against their countries government.  So Russia gave them passports, so what.  They still live within GEORGIAN territory and borders.  The Reds had absolutely no right to go in and stick their nose in Georgia's internal affairs.  If the people of S.Ossetia wish to be Russians so badly, they should move to RUSSIA, after all they have the citizenship already.  

This BS about a possible nuclear strike, just goes to show that Putin (he pulls his puppets strings) and Medeved want the old empire back.  They are angry at the Ukraine because they won't do what they are told.  Russia needs to realize not everyone wants to be ruled by them, and communism (in that part of the world) is dead.  They would be wise to watch themselves, there biggest trading partner is Germany, and Germany is freindly with the Georgians.  The only cards Russia hold are the oil and gas.  Even that is not much, as with out foreign investment and technology, they won't be able to do shite.  Russian oil infrastructure would soon collapse with out it.  I was there just after the wall came down and they opened up to foriegn oil firms, they were stuck in the 40's and most places still are.  Not only that, but Canada has just release confimed data that they have more oil than Russia, Africa and the UAE combined, and 8 times the reserves of Saudi Arabia.  Enough to supply the entire world for the next century(that's not even including the arctic, which will be split between Canada and Norway, they have combined forces to gather the data and proof).  The west has driven them to economic disaster in the past and they can do it again.  That's why the US has ruled out military intervention, they don't need guns, they have economics.

Bush has but 157 days left in office and no gaurantee his mob will get in next time so he has to work quick to set in motion the next stage in his plan.The war on terror is waning,the European Union is getting a little too big and a little too successful for his liking.Russia as always has too much damned resources than it deserves.What better way to kill two birds with one stone than to pit them against each other while you wait,out on the wings.Why do you think Bush gave the nod to the Georgians.The Georgians would never have taken on the Bear without some reassurance from America.Announcing the Polish deal in the midst of it was deliberately timed so everyone would think oh yeah Russia's a threat we really need a shield.A shield that was meant to be against the M.E. Yeah right!

Wait for Russia to announce it's cutting a deal with Cuba or Venezuela and hey presto Bush will have the threat in his own back yard.How would he like them apples?

Someone is playing games with this, why did it take them twenty hours to send that ceasefire agreement to Moscow. I don't know about you but if I signed a ceasefire I would have faxed it with in seconds of signing my name to it.

Quite frankly the idea of a nuke war does not frighten me. But it does frighten the politicians who fear they might get killed in a nuke attack, which is why Putin and Bush have special nuclear proof shelters.The thing to do is to wire up those places with TNT fake a probable nuclear exchange so they run there to hide. Then blow them away, so we can live happily ever after.
