I know that the oil has to be refined into other fuels, but what percent is turned into gasoline?

  1. One barrel of crude oil makes about 19½ gallons of gasoline, 9 gallons of fuel oil, 4 gallons of jet fuel, and 11 gallons of other products, including lubricants, kerosene, asphalt, and petrochemical feedstocks to make plastics.

  2. One barrel contains 42 gallons of crude oil

  3. It all really depends on the quality of the crude oil.

  4. 42 gallons.

A little over 23 gallons of gasoline can be refined from a barrel of oil. Other products (jet fuel, lubricants, etc.) make up the rest.
