  1. incorrect. It's external, it doesn't count as a modification, and the 360 receives just as much electricity as it would normally. Nothing voids your warranty unless it breaks the sticker under the faceplate. Also, even if they would kick you off live for it (which they won't), there's no voltage change, so M$ couldn't detect it.

  2. whenever you adapt or change or HACK any electronic device it voids the warranty as you have opened it or altered it from its factory status.

if you tinker with it you void the warrant as with xbox being prone to red ring of death you dont want to void the warranty and YES they can tell if you have opened it no matter how careful you have been.

  3. Simply adding the Nyko Intercooler for your xBox 360 will NOT void your warranty. Since there is no internal changes, you have not voided your warranty. As for the guy who said these things cause scorch marks, that was resolved when Nyko released their EX model of the Intercooler. The main difference was that the part plugged into the 360 was plastic, but is now metal. So, as long as you have the EX model of the Nyko Intercooler, you should be alright. It has been proven in tests that the Nyko Intercooler EX will lower the internal and external temperature of your 360, and thus, reducing your chances for the dreaded RROD. However, they make no guarantee on preventing the RROD.

Good luck and enjoy your 360!

  4. The Intercooler is known to overheat the 360 since it draws it power from the console. It also leaves scorch marks and MS knows what those are. This will void your warranty.
