  1. No, of course not after all politics is the science of looking like you're doing something for the good of the country for as little effort as possible. I

f it looks good to the public they don't care whether it actually benefits the country in the long run or if it even works, it just has to look good in their statistics!

  2. Perhaps they should look more at what is driving people to crime in the first place.

Maybe if the cost of living wasn't so high in the UK people wouldn't feel the need to go out and commit crime to get by in the first place.

Ok not all crimes are people obtaining money illegally to get by, but i bet a high percent is :)

  3. Yes, the Tories have already stated that they will build more prisons.

  4. someone should, that was a promise, and if they keep on letting out convicted felons who go out and commit more often worse crimes, then its time someone said enough and built them

col    come on many are career criminals, not in it just because they are starving or can't pay their bills.  One big family of criminals, who robbed and said they were happy to

thieve and were just a bunch of lowlifes. They have now been jailed but the betting is when they come out will continue do what they have always done.

i am not well off, in fact really struggle to pay bills, but i wouldn;t go on the thieve to get money.

  5. No. They may very well lie about building enough but the country was keeping prisoners in police cells during the last Tory government and there will probably be no change with the next lot.

  6. Of course not. Like when they talk about anything, it's just to pretend they would be different to Labour and not exactly the same, as the reality would be.

  7. Shhhh they haven't really thought it through, they are just reacting to the tabliods nonscense of crimes going unpunished etc

  8. It is to ensure that people on bail realise how important it is to turn up for court. Too many people are skipping bail and costing thousands in wasted court fees. Personally I would rather see more people answering bail and saving me money as a tax payer. Being more stricter with bail conditions will help prevent this wastage. Have you noticed that most people who skip bail are guilty anyway?
