So the minimum age is 16 right?

But Romanian gymnast Gabriela Dragoi is only 15 years old, so how did she qualify with no problems?

Also, how do they come up with the age limits for the different sports because Thomas Daley of Great Britain is only 14 years old...???

Do you think they shouldn't have an age limit because ultimately it's their skills that are being tested at these games...

HUHHHH?!?!?

  1. I've recently learned that if you are 15, and come to the age of 16 by the end of the year you are eligible.

And yes, there are differing age restrictions between different sports.

  2. as long as you turn a certain age by the olympics or years end your fine.

But for gymnastics, when your only like 4 foot, 60pounds it can make a big difference to somone who is 5 foot 3, 110pounds. Can do more acrobatics, and you dont weigh as heavy when your doing bar exercises so you can pick yourself up more easily

Some people are trying to come up with the idea of having restrictions through weight.

  3. i think that something else that gets people in a tiffy about the chinese is that they take kids away at the age of 3 and vigorously train them. also those girls look extremely young and its just hard to believe that they are of the age to compete

  4. I believe they are 5-6. Hardly 7.
