So this weekend im learning to wakeboard..?

so this weekend im learning to wakeboard up at some peoples cabin...any tips so i dont look like a totall freak cause its my first time and theres gonna be tons of people!

  1. make sure the board is right for your size.  range from 130 to about 145, smaller/lighter riders usually ride around 130-135 and bigger/heavier riders 135-145.  Keep your arms at waist level, don't try to ride with the handle up into your chest or neck, keep it low and around the waist.  when starting, keep the edge of the board out of the water, knees into your chest, let the boat pull you up, don't try to stand up or you'll edge down and nose plant.  when you're up, keep your weight on your back leg and keep the nose up, lean back.  small movements of the handle at your waist will control your movement.  relax, don't fear crashing cause I gaurantee you will, and have fun.
