  1. well, you can't have life unless you let the baby live, so pro life starts with pro baby.

  2. I'm against the war and capitol punishment as well as being against abortion, euthanasia, etc.

  3. As much as I might agree with some of what you are saying, there is no question in this.

  4. Then extend pro-baby to pro-child care, pro-education, anti-pedophile anti-child abuse.

You can't stop at birth. It's pretty hypocritical to protest so hard for a fetus not be aborted then stop caring when it is born.

  5. I'm not pro-war OR pro-death penalty. I'm pro-peace and pro-life, no matter what age

  6. Comparing the likes of Timothy McVeigh and a newborn baby is hardly a fair comparison.

McVeigh could not have suffered enough when he was put to death.

I served in the Armed Forces, I support a woman's right to choose, AND I support the death penalty (in some cases) as well as a terminally ill person's right to assisted suicide.

I guess that makes me pro-death?

    So be it.

  7. yes but...I AM pro-life! :D

  8. I am pro life. Which means pro family. It also means the protection of all life. Or defense. What many forget is that this country was attacked. And it wasn't a military installation, it was civilians. Should we not defend our country and it's people from that? If not, that would be anti life.

As far as the death penalty, what do you think would be just punishment for taking a life? This country thinks it is more civilized now since there are no longer public executions. So why has murder become so rampant? We have more laws protecting the criminals than the victims or their families.

In order to be pro life there must be justice for the living. Anything else is just kidding ourselves.

  9. It's important to fight for your country if necessary.  We needed to take action after the 9-1-1 scenario but it was much more than that.  The president did research and found that Iraq had many weapons.  The weapons were transferred in the dead of night along lonely roads to Syria who denied they had them.  (I can't tell you who told me and he couldn't tell us who saw what was happening and reported it.)  Many people knew Iraq had these weapons.  There was a big write-up about it about 15 years ago in the Reader's Digest but now thousands of people are saying Bush never should have got involved in the war.  Wrong.  He had to act on this.  It was not just to save the US but the entire world.

  10. Actually, you are incorrect on a few points.

First off, on the issue of war--there IS cause for a just war, and it is outlined in the Catholic Catechism (under the fifth commandment).  Killing is wrong, no matter what, be we are obliged to protect ourselves, our families and our country.  It was clearly necessary to go to war against Hitler, for example, and we probably should help our allies if they are attacked and invaded unjustly. (note, our invasion into Iraq DOES NOT meet the criteria for a just war, and Pope John Paul condemed it as such).

That being said, war does not mean kill whoever you want.  It is still gravely wrong to kill civilians, wounded soldiers and to mistreat prisoners of war.  Also, weapons of mass destruction are considered inherently evil.

The death penalty is the same sort of thing.  The Catechism states that it is sometimes necessary, for reasons of public safety, to execute certain people.  HOWEVER, it goes on to say that in many countries today, that is not needed, because we have the means of keeping them away from the public.  In essence, we do not need the death penalty in the U.S.

Killing is wrong no matter what, even if you have to do it.

  11. How are you judging MOST people? Do you know that they are not supportive of life in all areas of their lives? The people I know are.

There are a billion catholics on this planet and many more Anglicans and Orthodox and Denominations who are not pro death penalty or Pro war.

War sometimes is a necessary evil to protect the innocent and restore order to chaos in the world but Christians at least are not Pro-war.

  12. another nice term for what they are is "anti-choice" or "fascist".

  13. I'm an atheist, but I'm not sure what you're saying is true.  I believe the Catholic Church is also against the death penalty.  I get where you're coming from, though.

  14. wtf...ppl should not be able to choice who's life is and isn't importation

  15. Are you calling me anti-life?

  16. Your argument is only partially valid:

There are many ways to avoid a pregnancy, but when one occurs, the baby's life should not be taken by abortion.

There are also many ways to avoid war, and every avenue short of appeasement of terrorists and madmen dictators should be pursued to avoid war.  It certainly is a heinous sin to be a war-monger for profit, and there probably is that going on, as you suggest, although I don't feel the people who vote for candidates and don't know the dirty details don't have the same level of sin as the war-mongers proper.

However, there are times when a country may have to go to war, and then it is not killing, it is self-defense - defense of one's life, one's liberty, one's property, one's way of life.

  17. It's just the answer to the pro-choice term used for people who believe aborting a baby isn't murder.

Let's examine the pro-choice term.  Is it actually pro-choice?  If I choose to kill my child at 5 years of age, would a pro-choice advocate support this decision.

Why don't we just call pro-choice what it really is - Anti-Baby
