  1. It's interesting how you phrased the first sentence. You said that your fiancee doesn't think the way you do. You didn't say you don't think think the way she does. Hmm. I'm guessing she's the one who is the Christian, and you're not, or you practice a different religion.

In actual fact, your beliefs will eventually make a BIG difference. Most marriages that last have a few basic things in common. A common set of principles or core values about life, similar money habits, and the same religious beliefs. If you do some research you can find these statistics to back up what I'm saying. That's why the Bible says that a believer is not to marry a non-believer. Or it's stated as "They are not to be unequally yoked." It will cause severe stress in the marriage and heaven knows any marriage will have already have enough stressors.

  2. Ask yourself if this difference of opinion is a deal breaker or not. Chances are, it's probably not.

  3. Find the similarities and not the differences you two have in common.  You may have different opinions on religion, but you two need to see how your beliefs are similar, and how with that similarity you two can find peace.  So many people in this world see themselves as inherently right, and others as inherently wrong.  As such, they close their minds to ideas that are similar and in fact may help them grow as human beings.  I have friends that are Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, ect...

We do not argue how we are different, but see that our beliefs must come down to the idea of being good to our fellow man is at the core of our collective beliefs, and not focus on the differences we have.

You two are in this together, and to have a happy marriage, you need to build on what you have in common, not just in this, but in all things.
