They are total fundies. Are you amazed that in the 21st century, we are still electing people who support statements like this:

Mike Rose, senior pastor at Juneau Christian Center

From a April 27, 2008 sermon: “If you really want to know where you came from and happen to believe the word of God that you are not a descendant of a chimpanzee, this is what the word of God says. I believe this version.”

and

From a July 8, 2007 sermon: “Those that die without Christ have a horrible, horrible surprise.”

  1. Actually, I'm not at all surprised! Americans are known the world over for not being the most critical people and for their nostalgia and longing to go back to the frontier days, when cowboys and bandits roamed the land. It all stems from the history of the "first" settlers, who were also a very simple folk. Fast foward to the 21st century, and there you have the reason why the masses are fascinated with the prospect of having the reincarnation of Annie Oakley as VP. What I can't understand is that there are actually quite a few women (including Ms. Oakley herself) who support having their abortion rights taken away. How much sense does that make? I can understand men wanting to take control of that issue and have it to their liking, but women? There ya go.

  2. She believes the universe is 6000 years old, created in 6 days, and dinosaur bones were planted here by Satan to deceive Christians.

    And that's just the beginning.

  3. well she is what she is a right wing republican so any female that was a Hillary supporter that votes for McCain / Palin is a fool.

  4. Those fundamentalist Christians who want us to stay in the dark ages should read a boiok by a very devout Christian.

His name is Frances Collins. He headed the human genome project.

Mr Collins does not let his belief in evolution get in the way of his Christian faith.

He is concerned about the science   teaching  in the schools in the USA and how we are not going to be able to complete in the world. The name of his book is The Language of God.

    I highly recommend it.

  5. Wow, a Preacher that speaks of God and his belief in God, unlike BHO's church of choice for nearly 20 years that spouted racist and anti-American filth.

  6. I'm a Buddhist and know there is no h**l, nor an evil God who created one.

  7. Lets see if Palin throws him under the bus like Obama?

If she does, then you can say that her character is lacking. If she doesn't than you can say she stands by her convictions.

Obama will do anything to anybody to get elected.

  8. he is preaching the word of God as he knows them. It isn't like trying to tear down America.

  9. Maybe she and Obama can get together with Reverend Wright and debate Racist black liberation theology??

    Reverend Wright......

September 2001: “The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”

    – September 2001: “We bombed Hiroshima. We bombed Nagasaki. And we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye.”

    – September 2001: “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because of stuff we have done overseas is now brought back into our own backyard. America is chickens coming home to roost.”

    – April 2003: “The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes three-strike laws and wants them to sing God Bless America. No! No No! God **** America … for killing innocent people. God **** America for threatening citizens as less than humans. God **** America as long as she tries to act like she is God and supreme.”

    – December 2007: “Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people. Hillary would never know that.”

    – December 2007: “Hillary ain’t never been called a n***8r. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”

    – Jan. 13, 2008: “Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.”

    – “Fact number one: We’ve got more black men in prison than there are in college. … Fact number two: Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run.”

    – “We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. … We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God. … We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. … We care nothing about human life if the ends justify the means.

And … And … And! God! Has got! To be sick! Of this sh*t!”

Oops that right Obama said he never heard it in 20 years. LOL
