So say my friend has smoked pot about 8 days ago, and he has smoked twice during the whole summer.

he has a drug test tomorrow, and has been drinking ALOT of water over the past couple days, will he pass the test tomorrow to get his job?

Generally, the tests are random.  Meaning that your idiot friend may still get off the hook.  If his sample is put in a box with a number of others, his may well get skipped for testing.  But your friend should understand that the chemical in pot that gets him high, binds with fat cells in the body and can remain there on average for up to 30 days.  Drinking lots of water will only make his kidneys and bladder work overtime.  If he REALLY wants the job, he should stop doing stupid and immature things that are illegal and could land his sorry butt in jail.
