So what do you do when you need to get a job and you look too young?

Makeup does not work for me I still look like I'm sixteen when I'm really thirty-two. I have had people ask me if I was old enough to apply for a job before and it just really ticks me off I'm a hard worker and I don't even get a chance to prove it because of the way I look. So what do I do? I have to provide for my family, but no one is willing to give me a chance.

Show them an extremely mature attitude and outlook.

try putting your hair up in a bun or with a clip this makes you look older. also dress in a suit /skirt

Call the employer 'kid', 'son', 'child' or something like that when you get the impression that someone is giving you an instant 'no' before you've had a chance to say who you are, submit an application or resume, or otherwise show them you aren't a kid.  You want to put them off in a ridiculous and confrontational way that isn't too mean.  The managers think they know everything--you need to shock them a bit to show them that they misjudged you--they believe they know a good worker just from looking at them.

Apart from that, be professional and prepared.  Have a resume ready, and be ready to make a good impression after you've made them start talking.

Show them your ID..that should be all you need. It shouldnt matter how old you look, if you can do the job....If they arnt hiring you because of how you look, you need to get a lawyer.*
